Quck summary
If you're after a broker with a rock solid operating history, London Capital Group is our recommended broker. They have been in business for over 20 years (since 1996) and are a publically listed company on the London Stock Exchange as well as being regulated by the UK FCA (Financial Conduct Authority).
Recently, they have sponsored Swiss tennis player Stan Wawrinka - citing his consistent strong playing style as a parallel to the company values.
UK based
Whilst some traders may have reservations about opening accounts with brokers who are based in remote parts of the world, the London Capital Group offices are as you would expect, in London. Everything about their business is UK based and in my opinion it should provide peace of mind for traders who are looking for a reliable, trustworthy broker.
A trader who isn't living in the UK might not think much of all this, but I believe that when it comes to regulation, a first world country like the UK or Australia would be far more strict and serious about monitoring and regulating financial service providers in order to protect their citizens. This has a flow on effect in that any other clients of these brokers would also fall under the same safety coverage.
Optional proprietary trading platform
Whilst many brokers rely on the popular MT4 trading platform for their clients to trade with, LCG have gone a step further and introduced their own proprietary platform called LCG Trader which is a web based, cutomisable trading platform available across almost any device. You can not only trade forex but also shares, indices, spot metals, futures, bonds and interest rates.
With promises of low latency and rapid execution, I think it's definitely worth a look.
